Carther is the MBA, CPA advisor to Finacrecapital and Investments, overseeing the firm’s growing real estate portfolio in the U.S. He leads the evaluation of new investments in major U.S. metros and sits on Finacrecapital Realty’s Investment Committee. Carther is also responsible for the U.S. real estate development and asset management functions, working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders that collectively seek to deliver on targeted investment outcomes. Carther has held progressive roles at Finacrecapital in development, as well as investment and institutional relationship management. Prior to joining Finacrecapital, Carther executed mergers and acquisitions advisory mandates as part of the global investment banking group at Scotiabank. Carther has led corporate initiatives in other previous roles, being central to the launch of a London-based corporate finance practice while at a Parisian investment bank. Carther is also a seasoned landman and acquisition specialist in Asset allocation, Oil and Gas Mineral Leasing, Purchasing and Concession Investment Projects in London with 13 years experience and $200M+ in successful acquisition transactions. He leverages his strong industry and international brokerage relationships in sourcing opportunistic acquisitions and investment packages for Finacrecapital. Carther holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and an advanced degree in political economy from the London School of Economics.
